Ambassadors

Ambassadors represent and serve the school and the student body at all school functions and during recruitment visits to elementary schools throughout the Los Angeles region.

Membership Guidelines

Membership is open to all Bishop Conaty Our Lady of Loretto High School students in the 10th -12th grade and 9th grade in the second semester, who are confident, poised, responsible, and articulate; and who meet the approval of the administration and faculty. Members must be able and willing to speak in front of large groups of people. Membership is by application only.

Specifically, members must have a 3.5 cumulative weighted G.P.A., records of good attendance and good conduct, and approval of the teachers and administration. Ninth grade members may not receive any deficiencies that indicate a failing grade during the first deficiency period.

Ambassadors should be:

articulate
responsible
reliable
enthusiastic about the school
students who can attend night-time events and Saturday functions as needed
strong students who can occasionally miss a class without impacting their grades

Meeting Times: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at Lunch.

Summary of Activities

The Ambassadors serve the school by acting as hostesses, assistants and representatives of our school when special events take place on campus. They also assist the Administration in all phases of the recruitment process. They accompany the Marketing and Admissions Director on recruitment visits to grammar schools and high school nights, help with preparing recruitment materials, act as hostesses during recruitment events such as Open House and generally represent the student body to visitors and potential students.
